Amy Herzog, prolific knitwear designer and author of “Knit to Flatter” has designed a new pullover in our Merino Silk Fine yarn! Moscato is a sweet, simple-looking pullover with some fun tailored touches. The wide neckline is slightly draped, and the hem of the sweater, sleeves, and shoulders are all trimmed with fun button accents.

As Amy designs to create the best fit for your body type, she writes of Moscato:

Moscato offers great options for all body types. As written, the wide neckline, combined with the wide, eye-catching hem treatment make a proportional figure shine. The buttoned elbow-length sleeves make the most of your curves by drawing the eye to the waist. Top-heavy shapes might consider lengthening both the sweater and the sleeves; bottom-heavy shapes might consider shortening the sweater slightly or working a plain Garter Stitch hem.

Vertical darts enable easy customization to fit your needs. Should you desire less waist shaping than specified, either omit the shaping rows entirely, or omit/reduce only the shaping on the front of the sweater. Bustier women can work more increases on the front of the sweater, and not in the back. Extra stitches should be decreased into the neckline.

You can purchase either the full pattern for Moscato which includes the pattern in 12 sizes, or a “Custom Fit” recipe for just $2.50 so that you can size it to fit your own body measurements. For more details, check out Amy’s website or the pattern page on Ravelry!
