Tippi Sweater by Brenda Castiel

Designed by Brenda Castiel for Knit Edge magazine, issue three, the Tippi sweater is inspired by a vintage photo for a knit pattern from 1951. Tippi Hedren in The Birds might have worn a top like this, on its own or under a suit jacket. It has a soft collar, buttoned neck, folded cuffs, and ribbing at the waist. It is knit in stockinette with a stylized argyle design down one side only. This is a modern interpretation of a vintage look.

Brenda used our SweetGeorgia Superwash DK yarn in the new spring colours (Wisteria, Rosebud, and Birch, plus a little Blackberry) for this pert little sweater. You can get the pattern through the Knit Edge e-book that is currently available, or pick up the individual pattern when it is released in September 2013.
