Designed by Annie at JumperCablesKnitting, the Union Square Cowl is ideal for using solid and multicolored fingering weight yarn together. Knit in the round and using stranded color work, this cowl features a stockinette stitch background, textured squares and ribbed borders. Instructions are given for two sizes. Sample cowls knit with SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock yarn in Woodland/Tapestry and Bison/Tapestry.

If you’d like to substitute with your own yarns, here’s the breakdown of what you need:

Materials:
Size A: 360 meters / 390 yards solid colour fingering weight yarn
Size A: 140 meters / 155 yards multicolour fingering weight yarn
Size B: 388 meters / 425 yards solid colour fingering weight yarn
Size B: 150 meters / 165 yards multicolour fingering weight yarn
3.00mm (US 2.5) circular knitting needles 60cm / 24”
3.50mm (US 4) circular knitting needles 60cm / 24”

About two weeks ago, I stumbled upon Annie’s designs on Ravelry when I found her Grady shawl (a fabulous pattern for a gradient yarn)… and then by chance, she messaged me to let me know that she was designing these cowls with our yarns.
