There’s this song by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson … “They say that things just cannot grow beneath the winter snow, or so I have been told” and it inspired this design, with stitches that are light and beautiful, evoking a softness that sort of rolls in the way snow clouds do.
Our CashLuxe Spark just shines in this beautiful shawl! Twisted stitches and lovely lace create such a stunning, textured fabric that knitters of every level will enjoy. The asymmetrical shape allows you to customize the size easily, while being versatile enough to wear with any outfit.
TABETHA’S TIP FOR KNITTING WINTER SONG
If you haven’t taught yourself chart reading, now is the time. It’s a pretty big pattern repeat, but the chart enables you to easily see the stitch pattern quickly.
BEHIND THE BRILLIANCE: TABETHA’S FIVE FAVES
Favorite way to spend a Sunday morning: Sundays are my morning to wake early (before the rest of the house), sip a hot cup of coffee, and spend time sketching and journaling. It’s quiet, peaceful, and creative.
Favorite knitting fiber: While I love Merino, I find that my hands delight in the rarer sheep fibers like Corriedale.
Favorite guilty pleasure: Shhh! It’s French fries and a Coca-Cola.
Favorite Holiday activity: My favorite holiday activity is sitting with my family, reading their new Christmas book and play a new game. Then, while the kiddos are laughing and putting their new Christmas jammies on, I sit back in front of the fireplace and knit, savoring the togetherness.
Favorite thing to wear in the winter: Sweaters, of course! I prefer cardigans.
