Knitting, SweetGeorgia

Shelburne by Fatimah Hinds

I love the contrasting textures in this piece. Linen stitch and Slipped stitches show off the yarn in interesting ways, letting the colour changes really pop!

This relaxed cardigan, knit in our deliciously soft Superwash DK, is the epitome of style and interest. Fascinating combinations of slipped stitch textures show off the rich colours, while the one-piece construction allows it all to remain delectably, deliciously easy.

Fatimah’s Tip for Knitting Shelburne

To prevent SOOO many ends to weave in I designed the motifs so that you can carry the yarns up the side. It may take some practice to do this neatly but it’s worth it.

Behind the Brilliance: Fatimah’s Five Faves
  • Fave way to spend the evening after work: Cooking dinner while listening to music and the sound of my kids playing outside.
  • Fave yarn weight: DK.
  • Fave guilty pleasure: I don’t feel guilty but it’s definitely finding and drinking top shelf gin.
  • Fave fall colours: Burnt orange and golden yellow.
  • Fave thing to wear in the fall: Boots!
