Soft notes of lavender wafted up in the fragrant black tea and I imagined the blooming flowers being picked from the fields in France. Lightly floral, with a surprisingly sweet taste, like the hint of lace that adorns this pullover.
Summer in Provence, worked in only two pieces, is the epitome of spring: lightly textural and delectably soft, especially in our new yarn, Flaxen Silk Fine (trust us – it’s like a dream against the skin). Whether you want to dress up for tea or stay relaxed with jeans, the sweet bit of lace adds just the right amount of delight in a pullover that has beautiful drape and definition.
ย
Originally, I tossed around the idea of a dolman pullover with the lace decorating the entire body, but it was just too much, too fancy. Simplicity. I needed something that would be fast and simple to knit, while just as easy to wear, accessorize, or dress up. A piece that you didn’t have to think crazy hard about. So, I scratched out the first idea and sketched this up instead:
The finished results are so relaxed and so utterly comfortable, that I think it may very well be your favourite thing to pull out of the closet to wear all spring!
