Knitting, SweetGeorgia

Sparrow Falls by Illitilli

I think knitters will enjoy the balance between sections that require attention, and those that can be worked on autopilot. the crisp lines of twisted rib on the backdrop of reverse stockinette are so simple, yet graphic.

Using our new Mohairย Silk DK and featuring a motif of decadent twisted ribs and reverse stockinette, this hat & cowl set from Illitilli suits everyone from urban minimalists to backwoods hikers. Rich stitches, scrumptious yarn, and a touch of texture sinks us into a wealth of easy decadence.

The hat is knit in the round from the brim to the crown, starting with an alternating cable cast on.ย Beginning with a provisional cast on, the cowl is knit flat, starting at the shoulder split and working across the back of the neck to the front, where the two ends are joined with an i-cord bind off.
