Escape with SweetGeorgia Fibre Arts Retreat

We can’t wait any longer… we’re beyond excited at the SweetGeorgia studio to finally announce our first ever fibre arts retreat! In this episode of Taking Back Friday, I’m going to be talking about the big idea behind the retreat that we will be hosting in November 2019. This retreat might be different from knitting or spinning retreats that you’ve been to in the past, so please allow me to explain. Watch the video here »

Join us for a weekend getaway to the beauty of Whistler, Canada!
Celebrating the west coast of BC, the lush landscape of The Brew Creek Centre is the perfect location to encourage conversation and relaxation, as well inspire creativity and spark interest in new skills, techniques or passions.

The weekend will offer a colourful, inviting setting with “open-studio” style learning. Focus will be on knitting, weaving, spinning and dyeing, and retreat guests will have the opportunity to experience hands-on making with an inspirational supply of tools and equipment to work with. Along with excellent facilitator guides, plus video learning in advance via the School of SweetGeorgia, we hope you’ll leave the weekend armed with additional confidence in each technique. Included will also be plenty of independent time to unplug and unwind; wandering the forest hiking trails or enjoying knitting stories around the fireplace with fellow makers.

Further information and registration available in January 2019.
*Limited spaces will be available. We’re unable to take names in advance to reserve a spot, but keep an eye on our email newsletters to be notified once registration opens. Have a friend you think would be interested? Be sure they sign up to receive our emails… subscribe here on our website.
