In today’s episode of Taking Back Friday, I’m talking about the new Breathe & Hope shawl pattern designed by Casapinka. We’ll be brainstorming some different colour options for knitting up this lovely shawl!
Option A is a Party of Five in Gemstone with a skein of test dyed yarn. Option B is two gradient Sock Blanks. And finally, Option C includes these yarn combos that we’ve created.
IN THIS EPISODE
- what I’m wearing: Throwback Cardigan designed by Andrea Mowry of Drea Renee Knits. I knit my version in SweetGeorgia Superwash Worsted (Trinket, Watershed, Sea Grass, Afternoon Nap colourways… you can find the colour set “Wonder Years” here). I knit size 2 and used every single inch of 4 skeins of main colour. For this sweater, I also used the Chiaogoo Bamboo SPIN knitting needles.
- what I’m knitting: Chauncey designed by Isabell Kraemer — I’m knitting this in SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Marine + a Party of Five mini-skein set in Gemstone.
- want to learn stranded colourwork knitting for Chauncey? We’ve got a course for that! Please check out Modern Colourwork Knitting on the School of SweetGeorgia for our workshop on learning how to knit stranded colourwork. The course is available to members with an All-Access membership.
- what we’re talking about today: Our Breathe & Hope shawl combo yarn sets that we’ve put together for this fun design by Casapinka!
