This past week, we came out with the big news that our SweetGeorgia Advent kits are now available. And in today’s Taking Back Friday vlog episode, I want to show you a little bit about what these kits are, what’s in them, and how they’re different from all the years before!
This year’s calendar is new and different than what we’ve made in the past. One advent kit with two colour palette options and three patterns included in each kit. Click here to watch today’s video where I show you a closer look!
I would also love to hear about what’s more appealing to you… are you more drawn to warm or cool palette colourways, what kind of pattern are you more interested in knitting – a cosy blanket or new shawl for winter, or are you interested in trying the weaving pattern? Share with us in the comments!

IN THIS EPISODE
- what I’m talking about today: In today’s vlog episode, I am talking all about our new Advent kits for 2020. All of the detailed info about these kits can be found on our Advent 2020 blog post.
- want to learn more about knitting and weaving? Along with the Advent 2020 kits, we’ll also be releasing some new tutorials on the School of SweetGeorgia to help makers make their way through the kits (available closer to December). Prior to this though, we also have many courses available on the SOS site that can help if you’re looking for a bit more confidence with certain skills, such as knitting lace or weaving on a multishaft loom. Visit the School to learn more!

sold out already? so disappointed!
Aww, I’m so sorry to hear that Alice! We try to let people know that the launch was coming soon but once it launches, the Advent generally sells out very quickly. The last couple of years, we sold out within a day or so. You might try the yarn retailers listed above here… they may have stock as well!
I purchased my Advent 2020 kit in the blue tones. This is my first advent knit…thought I would try it with this crazy time to reflect on the real meaning of advent. I am trying to download the PDF file and not sure where to find it on your site. Can you please help.
Hi Gynne! Absolutely… you can find the PDF files for each pattern here: https://sweetgeorgiayarns.com/advent2020/ and the password is in the card that reads “Open me first”
