A couple of months ago, makers started joining over at the School of SweetGeorgia community forums to start the planning and chat for this year’s 2021 Spring Make-Along. This forum space has been a familiar place to meet in past years for MALs and MKALs, and this spring it was so great to see fibre friends return to join once again along with new makers.
For our 2021 make-along, we added a little something extra special with a celebration of lace, where bonus giveaway entry points were given for using either lace patterns or lace-weight yarns in your project. Celebrating spring by wrapping up in the beauty of lightweight lacy projects. But lace celebration aside, this year was extra special in thanks to all the wonderful knitters, spinners, and weavers that took part. It was an absolutely inspiring and amazing month filled with fun, friendly and supportive posts that makers shared. Cheering each other on in their projects, helping with tips or tricks, and laughing together along the way.
We want to share a warm heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s make-along. Below are just a small number of the make-along project photos shared over the past month, but you can see and read more about the incredible work which went into this year’s MAL projects – the posts are still available for viewing at the 2021 Make-Along Group in the School of SweetGeorgia forums, and on Instagram at #sgyspringmal2021.
We can’t wait to make together again soon!
