We’ll be at Knit City Vancouver next weekend and we look forward to meeting local makers and SOS Members at our SweetGeorgia booth and Knitter’s Lounge space sponsored by SweetGeorgia and the School. We’re excited to be debuting new hand-dyed colours at the event, which will also be released at our online shop for those unable to attend (stay tuned!).
If you have yet to attend a Knit City event run by Amanda and Fiona of Knit Social, we definitely suggest you come and check it all out. It’s an absolutely fabulous event filled with wonderful makers across all aspects of the fibre arts and more. It’s one of our favourite times of year to chat and connect with members of the local fibre arts community.
At our Knitter’s Lounge space, don’t miss the following meetup and demo sessions which will be taking place:
SATURDAY 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm
- 11am: SOS weaving meetup and rigid heddle loom demo with Felicia Lo.
- 3pm: SOS blending board, hand carders and drum carder demo with Charlotte Lee and Greta Cornejo.
SUNDAY 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm
- 11am: SOS spinning meetup and demo with spinning instructors Diana Twiss, Felicia Lo, Katrina Stewart, Kim McKenna, and Rachel Smith.
- 3pm: SOS knitting and crochet meetup.
Note: As we will be moving items to our Knit City booth, our Studio Shop will be closed from Friday, September 23rd to Monday, September 26th. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 27th with regular hours. Our online shop will also remain open for placing orders throughout the weekend.
