Welcome to the 2021 Advent Mystery Crochet-Along: The Good Cheer Scarf. This year’s Advent kit included three patterns, and this post is all about the Good Cheer Scarf, a crochet delight designed by Charlotte Lee. Originally published in 2021, this post has now been refreshed (April 2025) to include the pattern details and all necessary links in one place.
In this video, Charlotte walks through how to follow along with the original mystery Advent Crochet-Along. While the colours and pattern are no longer a surprise, the video is helpful for understanding how to pace yourself and follow daily instructions.
Material Options
If you didn’t get the 2021 Advent kit, no worries! You can create this scarf using either:
- Two SweetGeorgia Party of Five sets (mix and match sets or use two of the same set)
- Two full skeins of fingering-weight yarn (one for all odd-numbered CC instructions, one for even-numbered CC instructions)
You will also need one full skein of SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock yarn for the main colour. Find the pattern, gauge, and details on our shop site.
