Inspired by our Secret Stash Club’s February 2024 colourway Rose-Coloured Glasses, Charlotte knit the Early Dewdrops design by Tabetha Hedrick. The light lace and easy construction, plus the soft variations of rosy pinks in this exclusive colourway, are a perfect pairing for an easy, breezy sleeveless tee.

Included with each of our Secret Stash Club yarn shipments, we’re sharing some of our favourite project ideas for what to make with your new hand-dyed hues. For the February Club colourway, Charlotte paired it with knitting the Early Dewdrops sleeveless tee. A stunning, delicate piece perfect for warm weather days, it is also great for layering when the temperature is a bit cooler.

ABOUT ROSE-COLOURED GLASSES

The first colourway part of our new Secret Stash colour club, Rose-Coloured Glasses was a reminder that the power of colour can shift your perspective. Seeing life through rose-coloured glasses is about living from the perspective of optimism and positivity.

The colourway is gentle and rich with nuance and detail. Faded amber, salmon, peach, and sherbert all seem to undulate through this colourway. These colours make us want to breathe deeply, see the good in things in life, and savour all of the little details.

COLOUR CHANGES EVERYTHING

A life awash with warm pink hues is softer, sweeter, and kinder. Colour can comfort you, soothe you, and lift you up. We believe in the power of colour to transform mood and perspective. We believe the idea that colour changes everything.

We’re looking forward to sharing more project inspiration with colourways we’ve concocted, telling stories through our colours and sharing how we see the world.

Notes

Charlotte’s sample size was knit in size 1. In order to get enough yardage of the Rose-Coloured Glasses colourway for your project, February Club sets are available for order to order until the end of April 2024. For Club subscribers, you can alternatively place an order for additional skeins at the SweetGeorgia online shop. You must be logged in as a Club subscriber to view the product page.
If you’re interested in an alternative colourway for knitting this top, get in touch with us and we can help with any colour suggestions!
Please note: The Early Dewdrops pattern was originally designed with our Flaxen Silk Fine yarn which has very different characteristics from the Mohair Silk Sock yarn used in this project. Flaxen Silk Fine, a linen and silk blend, can relax and grow in a knit project, while Mohair Silk Sock has lots of bounce and requires more repeats to reach the same length. Flaxen Silk Fine is also 115g/skein whereas Mohair Silk Sock is 100g/skein. Please keep this in consideration when determining the yardage required for your project — reach out to us at info@sweetgeorgiayarns.com if there is any further information we can help with!
