Episode 021: Francoise Danoy of Aroha Knits

Today, I am speaking with Francoise Danoy — a Franco-Maori American-Australia knitwear designer currently living with her husband in a small village on the southern island Kyushu in Japan. More than just designing knitwear, Francoise also strives to be a mentor to independent fiber artists, entrepreneurs, and aspiring designers. But the most shockingly impressive thing to me has been that she only started knitting in January 2014. So that’s just over a year and a half ago. She released her first pattern four months after she started knitting and quickly launched her own beautiful website soon after that.
