I love those first few weeks into the beginning of spring. The nights are still cool and a heaviness lingers in the sky. But, just on the edge of the horizon is a bright sun eager to make its grand entrance. Tulip and crocus leaves poke their little noses out of the ground and there’s a scent on the air that just captivates; one of rich dirt being pushed about to release new growth to the world.
It’s mystical and exciting, yet … soft and encouraging. It’s a wealth of motion and movement tied intimately to discovery and delight. And it all flows naturally as if the flowers and sun already know the way.

Naturally, I cannot help but think of lace! Whether its the need for coolness and breeze or the delight in flower-like yarn overs, spring is all about that beautiful openwork that makes a knitter feel like … a knitter. Ha!
A couple of weeks back, we released teaching you the ins and outs of lace. And this week, we’re bringing the goodies that bring all those new skills to life! It’s our Spring with SweetGeorgia, Vol. 5 collection!

Yarn overs sprinkle across the fabric as if a flower finding the sun. In this collection, we’ve hopefully captured that movement and excitement without the overwhelm. Two garments and two accessories bring about ample opportunity to play with eyelets and decreases, helping you to discover the joys of openwork and texture.

It is our hope that each design brings you a little stitch closer to discovery and growth, just like those crocus noses looking to open their blooms.
