Episode 013: Fiona McLean & Amanda Milne of Knit Social

013 Knit Social.fw

Today we are going local and talking to Fiona McLean and Amanda Milne — the duo behind Knit Social, a knitting events company based in Vancouver, BC. Together they produce Knit City, BC’s largest annual fibre festival as well as local knitting retreats and yarn swaps. They are also the co-editors behind Cascadia, a knitting pattern book that showcases the local talent of British Columbia’s knitwear designers and yarn dyers.

Knit City Giveaway

For this week’s giveaway, we have many things to giveaway! But they are really only useful to people local to Vancouver this time. We have 2 tickets to the Knit City lectures — you have your choice of listening to Clara Parkes talk about the Great White Bale yarn project on Friday night or Ragga talk about Lopi Knitting on Saturday night. We also have several sets of guest passes to the Knit City Marketplace. So, we’ll draw 4 names and the winners will receive either the 2 lecture tickets, or 2 passes to the marketplace. Since Knit City begins Friday evening October 2, we’ll need to draw the winners VERY soon. You’ll have up until Thursday October 1 at 3 pm PST to enter the draw, and then we’ll notify the winners on Thursday evening. Hope to see you at Knit City this weekend!

To enter, listen to the episode to find out the secret phrase then visit the giveaway page to enter. Good luck!
