Handwoven Scarves // Designed by Felicia Lo
This pattern for handwoven scarves is featured in Episode 4 of the “Handwoven Colour” weaving course.
Using handpainted sock yarns to mimic handpainted warps, we’re exploring warp-faced colour through a series of handwoven scarves. Pattern includes a 4-page PDF.
MATERIALS

Scarf 1: “Lighthouse”: Warp — SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon), 2 skeins in Lighthouse.
Weft — SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Lace (765 yd / 700 m per 3.5 oz / 100g skein; 50% fine merino wool, 50% cultivated silk) in Lupine. -
Scarf 2: “Tea Party”: Warp — SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon), 1 skein each in Tea Leaves and Blueberry Jam.
Weft — SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Lace (765 yd / 700 m per 3.5 oz / 100g skein; 50% fine merino wool, 50% cultivated silk) in Jewel. -
Scarf 3: “Autumn Flame”: Warp — SweetGeorgia CashLuxe Fine (400 yards / 365 m per 4 oz / 115g skein; 70% superwash merino wool, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon) in Autumn Flame, SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon) in splashy dyed test skein.
Weft — Lichen & Lace Marsh Mohair (459 yd / 419 m per 1.76 oz / 50 g skein; 72% kid mohair, 28% silk) in Sweet Potato or substitute with SweetGeorgia Silk Mist in Oxblood.
