We have made a new collection of colourways to be enjoyed with our new spinning class, Nuances to Spinning Better Yarns.
To spin better yarns you need to pay attention, be present and mindful while you work with the fibre at hand.
The techniques shown by Kim McKenna in this class have the capacity to take your spinning to the next level, to become a better spinner. Every time you handle the fibre you learn more about the fibre’s characteristics and how best to work with it.
This new colourway is also available on Corriedale. The Corriedale is a Merino-Lincoln cross that was developed in an effort to establish a true dual-purpose breed, combining the best qualities of the wool and meat breeds. Named in 1902, Corriedales are now considered to be the second most numerous breed worldwide.
Corriedale is one of the best, most enjoyable fibres to spin when you are just starting out and anytime after that. It is fluffy and soft, plus the medium staple length makes it easy to handle and draft. It’s soft enough for wearing next to the skin and can also be used for felting.
Each braid is 100g (approx 3.5 oz)
