Our favorite hues take on a dusk-like mood for the autumn season. Shades of orange, yellow, blue, and purple resonate with a compelling darkness that is equal parts elegant and seductive. Dramatic. Omnipotent. From Trinket to Arbutus, these six smoky colours complement each other and promise texture, depth, and dimension to every stitch pattern.
“Backordered” Yarns: Please note that our yarns and fibres are generally dyed-to-order. If you are ordering yarn or fibre, please allow up to 2 weeks to dye and deliver your order. Variations exist within and between dye lots. We hope that you will enjoy the brilliant vibrancy and individual variations within the yarns.
Layla –
This is an absolute dream of a yarn. It’s the softest superwash merino yarn I’ve ever felt (I didn’t even know that there were degrees of softness to superwash merino!), and the colourway is a stunning, subdued rainbow that knits into the most beautiful fabric. Deep shades of purple, moss green, iron grey, and blue blend with dark hues of auburn, scarlet, and burgundy. The rainbow aspect of it really doesn’t show that well online. You have to see this yarn to appreciate all of the colours it has. It even has subtle spots of a deep, burnished gold. I ordered 8 skeins of it (from two dye lots) and there are variations between the skeins, but they are overall quite consistent. My compliments to the chef for this breathtakingly beautiful yarn. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is truly a work of art, this yarn.
