We are so excited to invite both new and returning weavers to our annual Winterful Weave-Along. Beginning this November 2025, together we will weave, learn, and inspire each other. Whether you are working on a rigid heddle loom or a multi-shaft loom, this weave-along is open to everyone.
This year, our theme is Stripes, Plaids, and Tartans; a celebration of bold lines, timeless designs, and combining colour unapologetically!
Stripes, Plaids & Tartans
Earlier this year, Felicia Lo introduced her course Weaving Stripes, Plaids & Tartans, where she explored how colour, proportion, and balance come together in design. In the course, you will also discover the history and significance of tartans, and learn how to design your very own plaid fabric.

Featured Weave-Along Patterns
For this year’s weave-along, we will work with two beautiful patterns.
Pacific Plaid Scarf
From the Weaving Stripes, Plaids & Tartans course, Felicia shares the Pacific Plaid Scarf. Woven in a classic 2/2 twill with Knoll 17/2 Nm Merino Lambswool, this scarf is a striking introduction to plaids. It invites you to play with colour choices, treadling, and proportions to make the design uniquely yours.

Shoreline Checks
Designed with rigid heddle weavers in mind, this pattern takes on a similar look but in plain weave. Woven with our SweetGeorgia Trifecta Fine, the Shoreline Checks scarf shows how one design can transform into two stunning scarves!

Both patterns are available for purchase through the SweetGeorgia shop. If you are a School of SweetGeorgia All-Access or Weaving member, you will get both patterns for free. Felicia shares a closer look at both of these designs at the weave-along welcome video.
At the School of SweetGeorgia, we’ve built a vibrant and welcoming community of fibre-loving makers, passionate instructors, and dedicated staff. Whether you’re looking for guidance on a new technique or just need a little creative encouragement, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
